“Tongji Case Day: Dialogue with SAP China Research Institute” Successfully Held
On June 30th, 2023, the “Tongji Case Day: Visiting SAP China Research Institute” was successfully held. HUANG Qingfeng, Executive General Manager of CCCC Yangtze River Delta Headquarters, CHEN Xianfa, General Manager of Knauf Ceiling Business Unit in North Asia and other entrepreneurs, Professor WANG Hongwei, Deputy Dean of School of Economics and Management of Tongji University, Professors and over 50 students including MBA, EMBA students and doctoral students, undergraduate students, and alumni participated in this event.
The event first visitd the SAP Innovation experience Center and the SAP Joint Innovation Center. At the SAP Innovation experience Center, SAP professionals introduced the development of SAP in China and the application of various digital products of SAP in enterprises, including ERP, intelligent human resource management, supply chain management, data and analysis, sustainable development and business networks. By visiting the whole process model of automobile from personalized customization to use, they can directly feel the application of SAP products in design, intelligent manufacturing, digital factory, product use and so on.
At SAP Joint Innovation Center, E Chao, General Manager of SAP Joint Innovation Center for Greater China, introduced the general situation of the center. With the help of SAP’s cutting-edge technology, the center aims to provide one-stop services, including innovation platforms and supporting technologies, around the innovation ecology, and work with partners to incubate innovative products and solutions, so as to realize the strategy of “Innovation in China, for China, for the world” and help Chinese customers move towards smart enterprises. By visiting a number of joint innovation cases, such as artificial intelligence operation and maintenance service robot system, dual-carbon ecosystem, intelligent warehousing, smart taxation and so on, students have learned about the subversive changes brought about by digital technology to traditional industries, as well as the concept of SAP innovation ecosystem.
During the round-table discussion, Prof. WANG Hongwei, Deputy Dean of SEM, stressed that the digital scene provided by SAP based on the cloud runs through all industries. Through “Tongji case Day”, teachers and students and enterprises jointly explore the most cutting-edge topics. The cooperation between SAP and SEM has a long history and continues to upgrade, from SEM joining SAP’s university alliance to signing a comprehensive cooperation agreement, and jointly launching the “Intelligent Transformation Frontier Course” in October 2021, to jointly create a national first-class course and jointly build a national first-class major. We hope that this event will become a new starting point to further enhance school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration with SAP China Research Institute, and jointly train high-end talents in digital transformation.
The “Tongji Case Day” has been held for four consecutive times, with increasing social impact. The fourth “Tongji Case Day” event was reported by national media such as China National Radio and Television Network and Xinhua News Agency. ” Visiting Enterprises” is a sub brand of “Tongji Case Day”. It has been successfully held twice before. It has entered two well-known German enterprises, Heraeus and KNAUF.
