Brief Introduction
Dr. Tian Sun is the Lead Program Manager of the Data Mining Research Institute in Baixing.com. Tian Sun received her PhD at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Her research focuses on the business applications of Internet data. Dr. Tian lead several projects at Baixing.com, including: pricing of online marketing services, KPI management of telemarketing team, CRM and online campaign systems, spam detection systems, and so on.
Abstract
With the development of e-commerce business and techniques, customers’ behaviors have been digitalized. As one of the top 3 classified websites in China, Baixing.com successfully utilizes its user generated data to find the next group of paying customers. Baixing launched a new decision support system and developed its own CRM (Customer Relationship Management)software to help the telemarketing team predict the probability of making purchases after each telemarketing contact. In this session, Dr. Sun will talk about how Baixing applies data mining techniques in the direct marketing campaigns, especially about the research of online customer behaviors and clickstream data.
