讲座摘要：

Society faces major and urgent challenges: climate change and biodiversity are prominent, but environmental: livability, mobility, energy, housing, and scarcity of raw materials to name a few. As we think of the city and the delta of the future, how can we take all these challenges into account in an integrated, adaptive approach? From a series of seven studies where ‘research by design’ is used as an interactive means, at which it is key to have active stakeholder participation and ‘imagination’ is key, we will discuss how to deal with all these challenges in a spatial environment, and show to you some inspiring designs.

讲座嘉宾简介：

Marcel Hertogh教授是荷兰代尔夫特理工大学土木工程与地理科学学院基础设施设计和管理研究团队前负责人，该研究团队致力于重大工程项目管理、资产管理、集成设计和施工技术方面的研究。同时他是鹿特丹伊拉斯姆斯大学Resilience Convergence and Design全职教授。Hertogh教授是代尔夫特理工大学五大研究计划之一“Deltas, Infrastructures and Mobility Initiative””（DIMI）的主席，该计划促进和协调在代尔夫特理工大学所有八个学院关于基础设施和交通方面的研究和教学。他是InfraQuest委员会成员，该组织由代尔夫特理工大学、荷兰国家应用科学院TNO和荷兰基础设施和水利管理部共同发起，致力于荷兰水利项目的设计和运营维护创新。他在2010年被国际项目管理协会IPMA授予Outstanding Research Contribution奖。
