主讲人介绍:

Lynne B. Sagalyn is the Earle W. Kazis and Benjamin Schore Professor Emerita of Real Estate at Columbia Business School, where she taught for more than twenty years and built its well-known MBA Program in Real Estate. As founding director of the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate there, she spearheaded a program of deep engagement with the real estate industry. 

An expert in real estate development and finance, Sagalyn has published extensively and is widely known for her research on urban redevelopment. Her most recent book, Power at Ground Zero: Politics, Money, and the Remaking of Lower Manhattan (Oxford University Press, 2016), has received continuous praise and is regarded as the definitive account of the rebuilding challenge. She is also the author of Times Square Roulette: Remaking the City Icon (MIT Press, 2001), and co-author of Downtown, Inc.: How America Rebuilds Cities (MIT Press, 1989).

Professor Sagalyn serves as a director of UDR (NYSE: UDR), where she is vice-chairman; Blackstone Mortgage Trust (NYSE: BXMT), where she chairs the audit committee; and on the Advisory Board of PRIME, a Morgan Stanley real estate fund. In the not-for-profit realm, she serves on the board of directors of the Regional Plan Association, the Skyscraper Museum, and the audit and compliance committee of Planned Parenthood New York City.

Professor Sagalyn received her Ph.D. from the M.I.T., M.C.R.P. from Rutgers University, and B.S. with distinction from Cornell University. She was also on the faculty of the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at M.I.T. and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and School of Design.
