报告内容摘要:

Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks in the supply chain, also known as supply chain sustainability risks (SCSRs), have become a major concern for firms operating in global supply chains. This presentation approaches the topic from two angles. First, it outlines the key drivers of media-reported SCSRs. Second, it discusses the stakeholder dynamics behind them. It also discusses the potential business consequences resulting from sustainability-related media exposure. The presentation combines two empirical studies that draw on secondary data regarding media reporting of environmental and social sustainability incidents. Thus, this talk will shed light on the ‘E’ and ‘S’ dimensions of ESG risks in supply chains and provide managerial recommendations.
