The Launch Event of Brand Wisdom

Recently, Dr. Tang Rencheng, a 1997 doctoral graduate of our institution, unveiled his latest seminal work Brand Wisdom at a highly anticipated book launch event.

Mr. Tang Rencheng studied under Professor Shen Rongfang, the former Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University. He is one of the earliest advertising practitioners, promoters, academic theorists, and organizers in China after the reform and opening-up. Combining rich practical experience with concise and vivid language, Mr. Tang has unremittingly engaged in writing and scholarship for 40 years, achieving fruitful results. As a “three-discipline talent” spanning the corporate, advertising, and academic circles, Mr. Tang has made outstanding contributions in all these fields.

Brand Wisdom is another masterpiece by Mr. Tang Rencheng. Drawing on his over 40 years of practical experience in brand marketing, he spent nearly half a year dedicated to studying Chinese ancient idioms, exploring their original meanings, delving into their profound implications, expressing new interpretations, and extending creative ideas to complete this work.

The new book launch event received strong support from the Alumni Association of the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University. Ms. Cheng Guoping, Assistant to the Dean and Secretary-General of the School’s Alumni Association, attended the event and delivered a speech. In her address, Ms. Cheng Guoping affectionately recalled the scene when Mr. Tang Rencheng enrolled in the university, noting that Brand Wisdom integrates Mr. Tang’s wisdom in enterprise management from Shanghai and Hong Kong. The book not only provides a reference for enterprises on how to build China’s brand strongholds but also offers local practical cases for brand research in universities.

At the conclusion of the launch event, Mr. Tang Rencheng specially presented two books, Brand Perspective and Brand Wisdom, to express his gratitude and love for the School, in appreciation of the strong support from the Alumni Association of the School of Economics and Management.
