The Tongji MBA education, launched in 1993, is among the first group of institutions approved by the Degree Office of State Council. The MBA Program aims at empowering tomorrow’s business elite with an international perspective, social responsibility and innovative spirit as well as with modern managerial expertise and skills in economics and management.
As approved by the international AMBA、EQUIS、AACSB & Chinese CAMEA accreditation, the Tongji MBA Program has achieved tremendous advancement by meticulous attitude to probe new knowledge and to make contribution to the society. Base on the disciplinary advantage of Tongji University and SEM, its MBA program has gradually evolved its own professional feature in 8 professional course modules, especially in project management and real estate, service and operation management, and finance.
The MBA program has been internationalized in a real sense through joint training, developing curriculum and teaching materials, using internationally-claimed classic cases, recruiting first-class staff and broadening students’ horizon with the top business schools in the world. Since its beginning as a global vision, Tongji MBA Program has established stable communication and cooperation with more than 80 worldwide famous business schools in around 26 countries. About 30 students are sent to US, Germany, Canada, UK, France and Spain for exchange studies or short-time study trips. In the meantime, international students are enrolled to the MBA Program in Tongji.

As cooperated with the top-ranking Universities, there are 3 dual-degree MBA program.

Tongji-Manchester Dual Degree MBA Program was launched in 2009,It is small-sized classes(30-35 students each class) and class delivery in English. Students are encouraged to enrich their experiences by participating in workshops at the international centers. They may join activities supported from alumni network and industry resources of Tongji University and Manchester University. After graduate from the program, students will obtain both the MBA degree from Tongji and Manchester University.

Tongji-Case Western Reserve MBA/MSM-Finance Double Degree Program is an innovative program cooperated between SEM of Tongji University and Weatherhead School of Management of Case Western Reserve University of USA. This program aims to cultivate the talents with global vision who aligns the financial professional skills as well as the general management experience and knowledge. Students graduating from the program will obtain both the MBA degree from Tongji University and the Degree of Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Finance from Case Western Reserve University.

SIMBA-MIMBA Program is cooperated with Carlson School of  Management, University of Minnesota. These two universities jointly set up a The Master of Business Administration (Medical Technology Management) degree program(hereinafter, the Program),in order to develop integrated multi-professional high-end international talent and business leaders, with rich practical experiences, who understand not only medical technology, technological innovation, but also skilled at business operations and management, marketing, strategy, law, promoting the world’s sustainable development. Students graduating from the program will obtain both the MBA degree from Tongji University and Minnesota University.

In 2011-2017 Tongji MBA Program was adwarded “The most influential MBA Institution” by SINA. In 2012-2017, it is once again listed in the “Top Ten Most Valued Part-time MBA Program” in the Forbes Best Business School Ranking.
