Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum

Mon, May 09, 2011

Since 2008, EMLYON and KPMG founded the World Entrepreneurship Forum. Joined in 2011 by ACE (Action Community for Entrepreneurship, Singapore) and NTU (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), the Forum aims at finding entrepreneurial solutions to our world’s problems. It promotes the entrepreneurial spirit in all fields of society and encourages all forms of entrepreneurship, integrating economic and social objectives.

The Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum (JWEF) is a derivation of the World Entrepreneurship Forum. It will be held in week of June 10th this year in 10 countries around the world and offers a unique opportunity to hundreds of young entrepreneurs and students from various backgrounds to reflect on several entrepreneurial themes. The outcome of JWEF will help us to better prepare the WEF in November.

In China, the JWEF is organized by EMLYON master students in Shanghai from June 10th to 12nd. The 3-day forum will involve roundtables discussions led by experts, entrepreneurs and leaders, breakout sessions among delegates, networking opportunities and much more. The main topics of the 2011 session are“Education, bottom of the pyramid, cities and high growth businesses”. To ensure the quality of sessions and discussions, the students are selecting delegates from a variety of backgrounds interested in entrepreneurship from the top universities, such as Fudan, Jiaotong, Tongji, Zhejiang and Nanjing.
