​October 15, 2023—In a commitment to give back to education through collaborative innovation and enhance talent development, Shanghai Zhenghong Construction Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. (“Zhenghong”) has donated RMB 300,000 to Tongji University. The funds, allocated equally to the School of Economics and Management and the College of Civil Engineering, will support student scholarships and financial grants.

The donation ceremony took place during the “30th Anniversary Celebration of Zhenghong.” Guo Chenjian, Chairman and General Manager of Zhenghong, presented the contribution on behalf of the donor, while Professor Wang Hongwei, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management, accepted the donation. Key attendees included Professor Cheng Guoping, Associate Dean and Director of the Alumni and Corporate Relations Office (who also serves as Secretary-General of the School’s Alumni Association), and Zhang Yue, Deputy Director of the Alumni Office, both witnessing this significant milestone.

The “Tongji University—Zhenghong Charity Scholarships and Grants” will be specifically designated for outstanding students in Management Science and Engineering—a top-tier discipline at the school. This initiative aims to deepen collaboration in research commercialization and talent cultivation, establishing a long-term framework for mutually beneficial cooperation.
