ABSTRACT：

In this seminar, Dr. Alberto Tejero will share his international experience in research and educational projects related to entrepreneurship in rural areas and indigenous communities. The seminar will examine the entrepreneurial journey of indigenous individuals, highlighting the distinctive processes and challenges they face compared with entrepreneurs outside rural and indigenous contexts. Drawing on examples from Central America, Dr. Tejero will show that entrepreneurship in these settings involves not only economic value creation, but also the integration of development, cultural identity, and territorial sustainability.

The seminar will also introduce academic findings and practical experience from the Erasmus+ (Capacity Building) FIDUCA, Strengthening Innovation and Transdisciplinary Research in Universities for the Sustainable and Inclusive Development of the Central American Region. FIDUCA brings together 12 higher education institutions, including nine from Central America and three from Europe. The project aims to strengthen Central American universities’ capacities in entrepreneurship, innovation, and transdisciplinary research, supporting the sustainable and inclusive development of rural communities and indigenous peoples while helping reduce social and inequality gaps through entrepreneurship.

Alberto Tejero博士现任西班牙马德里理工大学（Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM）组织工程、工商管理与统计系副教授，并担任由EIT Digital与UPM联合开设的数字创新硕士项目主任。他曾任UPM技术转移办公室副主任，并具有创业实践经历。Tejero博士拥有马德里理工大学电信工程博士学位，同时持有工商管理硕士学位和计算机科学硕士学位。

Tejero博士长期从事国际创新与创业领域的研究与实践工作，研究兴趣涵盖创新管理、创业教育、技术转移、数字化转型及国际合作等方向。他曾参与50余项国际项目，包括欧洲情感人工智能专家、通过分布式和混合式欧洲创业辅修课程探索互联教育、OpenU项目——混合式在线学习、网络和流动的欧洲枢纽等。此外，他出版了两部有关创新主题的著作，并担任多个基金会及委员会的顾问委员会成员，围绕创新、创业、技术与教育等议题提供专业咨询。目前，他正在欧洲、亚洲及美洲参与多项有关创新、创业、教育与技术的国际合作项目。
