报告内容摘要 

This presentation covers the research of disaster management at both urban and building scales. The critical challenges in the disaster management at urban scale mainly include the collection of timely data and the lack of solid data support. Crowdsourcing method is introduced to resolve the data issues or urban disaster management (e.g., damage assessment, rescue and forensic disaster investigations). Meanwhile, the real-time information of indoor disaster status and people flow is significantly scarce, and this issue becomes the essential challenge in indoor evacuation management. Accordingly, our research applies the indoor positioning and sensors technologies to collect the real-time data and proposes a real-time evacuation management system for indoor emergency.

刘睿博士是佛罗里达大学助理教授。刘睿博士致力于通过技术创新促进建筑业发展,研究领域聚焦于BIM、基于云技术的全生命周期项目管理、建筑业信息系统优化、复杂项目和组织流程再造。同时关注智慧城市建设,聚焦自然灾难管理的研究,包括利用社交网络(Twitter)数据进行损失评估和紧急救援,以及应用BIM和室内定位技术进行室内紧急疏散管理。(详细内容见附件1)

Developments in Building Information Modeling (BIM) have resulted in significant industry interest and uptake. Most new building projects are dependent on BIM for resolving coordination, schedule, integration, estimating and other functions. Advances in information and communications technologies (ICT) are continuing to open up new opportunities and applications. As such, more needs to be done to fully exploit the potential of these technologies and to meet the requirements of increasingly complex projects. This lecture will provide a historical perspective on BIM, discuss some current developments, and explore potential future directions for BIM. The role of integrated project delivery and other collaborative systems will be highlighted. An insight into potential future developments and applications of Building Information Modeling will also be provided. 

报告人简介 

Chimay Anumba is Professor and Dean of the College of Design, Construction and Planning at The University of Florida. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, FREng (the United Kingdom’s National Academy of Engineering). He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK; a higher doctorate – D.Sc. (Doctor of Science) – from Loughborough University, UK; and an Honorary Doctorate (Dr.h.c.) from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. He has over 450 scientific publications and his work has received support worth over $150m from a variety of sources. He has also supervised 48 doctoral candidates to completion and mentored over 25 postdoctoral researchers. He is the recipient of the 2018 ASCE Computing in Civil Engineering Award.

Cyber-physical systems (CPS) enable the synergistic integration of virtual models and the physical environment and are now increasingly recognized as vital for improved construction project information management, more efficient project delivery, and enhanced facilities management. A critical aspect of the deployment of CPS in construction is ensuring bi-directional coordination between the physical components and their virtual representations. This presentation will draw on examples from research prototypes to highlight the key features and benefits of these systems, and the steps involved in their development. It will also outline the lessons learned from developing a variety of systems for several aspects of the delivery of a constructed facility such as building component placement, temporary structures monitoring, mobile crane safety and efficiency, and facilities management, . Following this, the lecture will explore future directions for CPS in construction.
