Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Wagner, General Manager Institute IWAR, Technische Universitaet Darmstadt

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wagner graduated from the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany, in 1983 and holds a doctoral degree as Civil Engineer. Since 1996, he is General Manager of the Institute IWAR, Technical University Darmstadt. In 2006 he was nominated as Professor Honorarium at the Qingdao Technological University, China. Since 2009 he is Head of the Section China of German Water Partnership. In 2014 he received the certificate for Honorary Professorship from the Tongji University Shanghai. His expertise focuses on waste water treatment, aeration and gas transfer, energy in wastewater treatment plants and water infrastructure solutions for fast growing urban areas.

Prof. Wagner was honored with the “White Magnolia” of the Government of Shanghai, the top award for foreigners. Another award is the Qilu-laurate, the highest award for foreigners of Shangdong Province (China).
