讲座摘要：

A good understanding of research methodology can help researchers make conscious decisions. During the process of enquiry and investigation, both quantitative and qualitative research approaches can be useful to address research problems and increase the sum of knowledge. In this presentation, common types of qualitative research approaches are introduced (e.g. case study). In particular, interviews, as one of the main ways to collect qualitative data, are discussed. Based on previous research and interview experience, I will then share some useful tips regarding how to prepare and conduct interviews.

讲座嘉宾简介：

Sujuan joined in Xiamen University as an Assistant Professor of Construction Project Management at the School of Architecture and Construction Management, since 2021.01. She got her Bachelor and Master degrees from Tianjin University, and PhD from the University of Hong Kong. Her research covers megaproject management and owner project capabilities, BIM-based capabilities and dynamic capabilities. Her current project focuses on a strong owner role in driving BIM implementation and digital transformation in the AECO industry. She has published in project management journals such as IJPM and JME.
