Students of HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management invite international student teams to the 5th World Negotiation Championship from March 11-13, 2011.

Founded in 2007 as a joint project of students and doctoral candidates from Harvard Law School and HHL – Graduate School of Management, The Negotiation Challenge (TNC) is the first international negotiation competition in Europe and one of only few international negotiation competitions in the world.
The primary idea behind The Negotiation Challenge (TNC) is to provide a competitive platform to help prepare students for complex business negotiations that they will face after graduation.

The contest allows students from leading universities from all over the world to come together and compete against each other in realistic team negotiation situations. Participating in TNC offers a great opportunity to experience diverse ways of negotiation and to meet and network with students from various countries with different backgrounds and cultures.

The cases are set up by HHL – Leipzig Graduate School of Management affiliated professors who teach negotiation courses and are recognized throughout Europe as experts in this field. The cases themselves present a real life scenario.
The competition takes place in Leipzig (Germany) and brings together twelve teams from business and law schools from across the world to compete against each other in a three-day negotiation competition.

Schools participated in TNC the previous years: Aarhus Business School (Denmark), Alfa University (Serbia),Belarusian State University (Belarus), Bucerius Law School (Germany), EADA – Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración (Spain), Georgetown Law (USA), Harvard Law School (USA), ESSEC Business School (France), National Law School of India University (India), Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (USA), University of Bologna (Italy), University of Cambridge (United Kingdom).

Winner of the 2010 TNC was the team from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
