讲座摘要:

Conventional wisdom often assumes that team performance is determined by the majority of team members. As a result, contemporary team research tends to adopt a heuristic, simplified model to study teams by focusing on team overall properties (e.g., the average of team personality and behavior), while neglecting the unique influences of specific members on team outcomes. Specifically, previous studies rely on a questionable assumption that individuals within a team tend to be interchangeable and play an equal role in driving team success (i.e., isomorphism, Kozlowski & Klein, 2000). However, in a set of studies, drawing from a social network perspective, we demonstrate some most exciting advancement in teams research and study teams from a “microdynamic” perspective.  Specifically, we focus on the unique influences of specific individual members and team collaboration patterns on team processes and outcomes. We hope that our studies will catalyze future research to continue this line of research.  

演讲人简历:

李宁博士本科毕业于上海交通大学,在美国德州农工大学(Texas A&M University)商学院获取组织行为博士学位,现任美国爱荷华大学商学院组织管理系助理教授(自2017年7月起获在爱荷华大学获得终身教职Associate Professor with Tenure)。  

李宁博士的研究兴趣主要包括团队效能、社会网络、领导力、员工个性和利他行为及非正常行为研究。他的研究成果多发表于Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly等国际顶级管理期刊。他的研究受到多家媒体的报导,包括:Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Business News Daily, Yahoo, and INC等。 

李宁博士担任多家国际顶级管理期刊审稿人,包括Academy of Management Review、Academy of Management Journal、Journal of Applied Psychology、Journal of Management、Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Process、Journal of Organizational Behavior等,目前是Journal of Organizational Behavior的编委。
