Vice President of University of Manchester Visits Tongji SEM

On the 14th of November, 2017, a delegation of University of Manchester, led by the Vice President, Prof. Clive Agnew, visited Tongji SEM. Prof. CHEN Song, Deputy Dean of SEM, Dr. XU Qin, Deputy Director of MBA center, and staffs from the International Cooperation and Accreditation Office, met with the guests. The collaboration between the two universities started in 2009, when Tongji-Manchester Dual Degree MBA program was established. Almost 200 MBA students have successfully graduated from this program so far. Prof. Agnew’s visit will promote wider and deeper collaborations between the two universities by establishing dual degree master and PhD programs in business schools and expanding cooperation in other disciplines at Tongji University.

The University of Manchester was founded in 1824 and was one of the best 50 well-known universities in the world. There are 25 Noble Prize winners studying and working in University of Manchester. Manchester Business School is one of the two earliest business schools in UK. Its research strength in Business and Management Program is ranked the 2nd in UK. The Department of Accounting and Finance is the only two six-star accounting and finance department in UK. Its MBA Program is also among the top ranking globally.
