Abstract:Today, higher education is tasked with the preparation and shaping of future citizens within an increasingly interdependent world, economically, socially, culturally, and politically. In this increasingly internationalized environment how will future leaders be prepared to operate in a variety of contexts? This session will introduce the participants to two theoretical frameworks of a global mindset, a mindset that requires attitudes, knowledge, and skills to interact and communicate across cultural boundaries effectively and appropriately. We will explore: · Complexity of identity · Definitions and theories of intercultural development · Utilize business examples to explore the theories in context
