Recruit Global Talents to Address the Challenge of Pandemic –Webinar held for Master of Global Management program by SEM

In order to ensure the smooth recruitment of international students during the pandemic prevention and control period, SEM’s International Master of Global Management (MGM) program team adjusted the recruitment promotion strategy in time, actively prepared the webinar, and held the live-stream webinar for potential new students for Fall 2020 at 2:00 p.m. on April 5, 2020.Dr. Haiying Li, Academic Director of MGM program, led the introduction of the program in the webinar, while Ms. Maggie Yu, MGM Program Manager, chaired the webinar and invited two students sharing their study experience in Tongji.
First of all, Dr. Haiying Li introduced the history of the university, the disciplinary advantages and characteristics of the school, the faculty and the outstanding achievements of the school in the international and domestic accreditation and ranking, and introduced the curriculum of the MGM in detail. The characteristic of MGM curriculum is to combine the rapid development of China’s digital economy with the practical cases of business model, which is conducive to students’ career development and entrepreneurship planning on the premise of understanding the business environment of China.
Ms. Maggie Yu continues to brief on the school’s international cooperation and exchange program, admission requirements in Fall 2020, application procedure and related scholarship schedule. Internationalization is an important feature of talent cultivation in our school. Our school cooperates with world-class business schools to provide students with the opportunity for exchange study or obtaining degrees in world-known top schools. In addition, the scholarship schedule of MGM enables more international students with strong comprehensive ability and excellent academic performance to have the opportunity to study in our school through various channels such as Chinese Government Scholarship, Shanghai Government Scholarship and specific international students’ scholarship sponsored by our school.
Finally, Isabella (German) and Rafael (Brazilian) of 2019 MGM program shared their study experience in Tongji online from China and abroad, which aroused the students’ strong interest and resonance.
