On May 24th, Tongji SEM held an online consultation session on career development. The participants included the graduates of 2020 who had not yet confirmed their graduation plans, the employment contacts of 2020 and 2021, the staffs in charge of the career development center of Tongji SEM, etc. The purpose of this session is to convey positive job-hunting confidence to students after graduation, to establish a correct outlook on job-hunting, to match reasonable job-hunting expectations, and to actively build an experience exchange platform for employment contacts in the 2020 and 2021 sessions, to implement the college’s development concept of quality, innovation and coordination, and to further enlighten our work thinking, so as to help our students achieve fuller and higher-quality employment.

At the session, CHEN Xun, Director of the Career Development Center of Tongji SEM, classified and analyzed the different types of graduates of 2020 who had not yet completed their graduation, and gave corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. According to the current employment situation and willingness of the students, the participants put forward the difficulties and challenges of employment under the current epidemic situation and suggestions on optimizing the working system.
