Research Interests: Quality Engineering, Intelligent quality management, Petri Nets Theory and Applications

Hu-Chen Liu is currently a professor at the School of Economics & Management, Tongji University. His main research interests include Intelligent quality management, Quality 4.0, Petri net theory and applications, and healthcare operation management. He has published 100+ papers in these areas in leading journals, such as IISE, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Reliability, International Journal of Production Economics, and International Journal of Production Research.

Dr. Liu is an Associate Academician of the International Academy for Quality, and is a Senior member of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, the IEEE Reliability Society, the INFORMS, the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE), and the China Association for Quality.
