On June 26^th, 2021, the 9^th China Industrial Park Sustainable Development Forum was successfully held in Qingpu District, Shanghai. This forum was hosted by the Development Research Institute of Tongji University and China Financial Information Center, undertook by the People’s Government of Xujing Town, China Industrial Park Sustainable Development Alliance, Shanghai Xijiao Xujing Economic Development Co., Ltd., Shanghai E-link World Investment Management Co., Ltd., Huaxin Co-organized by Real Estate (Group) Co., Ltd., Yileng Haoshen New Energy (Shanghai) Company, and Jiuhua Consulting. The opening ceremony of the forum was presided over by SHI Qian, Senior Deputy Dean of Tongji SEM. LEI Xinghui, Vice President of Tongji University, NI Xiangjun, Deputy Governor of Qingpu District People’s Government, ZHANG Fengming, President of China Financial Information Center, and SHI Yaorong, President of China Development Zone Association, delivered speeches for the forum.

Industrial parks have always been an important carrier for China’s regional economic development and industrial structure optimization, and are responsible for important missions such as economic development, innovative development and opening to the outside world. However, under the impacts of “COVID-19″ and “De-globalization”, industrial parks are facing unprecedented new challenges, and it is more necessary to actively plan the dual circulation to achieve higher quality and more sustainable development. With the theme of “New Development of Industrial Parks under the impacts of ‘COVID-19’ and ‘De-globalization’”, the forum invited experts from the government, parks, academia, and enterprises to discuss the trends and goals of industrial park development from a policy perspective, a theoretical perspective, and a practical perspective.
