On September 1^st, Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs officially awarded Tongji SEM 5-year PMI-GAC re-accreditation. From December 14^th to December 16^th 2020,  the peer review team of PMI-GAC visited SEM to take the on-site assessment of the PMI-GAC reaccreditation on Tongji SEM’s Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program. Previously, Tongji SEM passed PMI-GAC accreditation for the first time in 2012.

Founded in 1969, PMI has approximately 600,000 members in 191 countries around the world. It aims is to promote the scientific, professional and globalization of project management, and to increase the awareness and recognition of the value of project management in various organizations around the world. Founded in 2001, PMI- GAC is the only authoritative organization to assess project management degree education in the world. It aims to promote the development of excellent teaching programs and courses of project management major, ensure the quality of project management education, and promote educational and professional development in the field of project management.
