On October 25^th, 2021, Tongji SEM invited Mr. WANG Huifeng, the managing director of the Haitong Securities Investment Banking Committee, to give students a lecture on “Reform and Development of the Stock Market”. Prof. RUAN Qingsong, the deputy dean of SEM, issued a teaching certificate to Wang Huifeng.

This lecture is one of of the “SSE University Practical Course System” lectures, jointly launched by SEM and Shanghai Stock Exchange and Haitong Securities Co., Ltd. Mr. WANG Huifeng, introduced the establishment of China’s stock market, the four development stage of the securities industry, the securities market and the China Securities Regulatory Commission. Mr. WANG also introduced the reform and innovation of China’s stock market, including the reform of listed companies’ equity division, the improvement of the multi-level stock market, the two-way opening of the securities market, the revision of the new securities law, the reform of the new stock issuance system and the enlightenment of the registration system, etc.

The “SSE University Practical Course System” aims to implement the requirements of “Memorandum of Cooperation on Strengthening the Popularization of Securities and Futures Knowledge” (jointly issued by the Securities Regulatory Commission and the Ministry of Education), and to integrate investor education into the national education system. On September 9^th 2020, Tongji SEM signed a memorandum of cooperation with Shanghai Stock Exchange and Haitong Securities to jointly launch the practical course system.
