Tongji SEM Held an International Conference on “Rural Revitalization and Agricultural Economic Theory”

On April 15 and 16, the School of Economics & Management of Tongji University and the Department of Economics of Miller College of Business at Ball State University jointly held an “International Conference on Rural Revitalization and Agricultural Economic Theory” with the theme of “Agricultural and Rural Modernization in the New Stage of Development: China’s Experience, Enlightenment and Prospect”, in order to further study and implement the documents and spirit of the national leadership on rural revitalization. Focusing on issues related to agriculture, rural areas and rural residents, the conference aims to give full play to the advantages of academic talent resources and exemplary role of colleges and universities both at home and abroad, and provide powerful talent, technological, and intellectual support for making all-round efforts in promoting rural revitalization, learning from the experience of developed countries in agricultural modernization, expanding and innovating the existing agricultural economic theories, and working faster to achieve agricultural and rural modernization in the new era. Nearly 400 experts, scholars and students from the United States, Australia and all over China attended the conference online.
