Tongji SEM co-organizes the International Conference on Management of the Relief Supply Chain in Major Public Health Emergency

The School of Economics & Management, Tongji University (Tongji SEM) and the Faculty Economics and Management, Technical University of Berlin have recently co-organized the International Conference on Management of the Relief Supply Chain in Major Public Health Emergency and Information Technology & Management Innovation. In this two-session online event, more than 400 experts and scholars from China, Germany, France, the U.S., and Sweden discussed two topics, i.e., “Management Strategies of Typical National Emergency Supplies Support Systems” and “Supply Chain Management Strategies and Methods in Major Emergencies”. From a macro or micro perspective, experts proposed their solutions or suggestions regarding the practice of pandemic control, COVID-19 vulnerability index construction, logistics network under the new normal, resilient supply chain, inventory management, development of an emergency supply support system, etc. Their ideas have provided academic references for drawing lessons from this worldwide combat against COVID-19 and emergency supplies support and enriching the methodology of emergency supply chain management in major public health emergencies.
