Dr. CHEN Haiyun Invited to Deliver a Keynote Speech at the International Expert Seminar on “Shanghai Index” of UN-Habitat

Recently, the “Shanghai Index” International Expert Seminar co-hosted by UN-Habitat and the City Day Center was held in Nairobi, the United Nations headquarters in Africa. Experts and scholars from all over the world discussed and demonstrated the framework, index system, data checking calculation of the “Shanghai index” , as well as the the correlation and interaction of the “Shanghai index” ,the Global Sustainable Development City Award (Shanghai Award), World City Day, Shanghai Handbook and flagship projects.
Dr. CHEN Haiyun, Chief Expert of the “Shanghai Index” research team and the researcher of the Institute for Sustainable Development and Management of the School of Economics and Management of Tongji University, was invited to visit UN-Habitat headquarters , organize an international expert seminar on the “Shanghai Index” and deliver a keynote speech.
The full name of the “Shanghai Index” is “Global Urban Monitoring Framework-Shanghai adaptability Index”. It is jointly supported by UN-Habitat, the Ministry of Housing and Construction of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government, led by Tongji University and jointly developed by international experts based on the 2030 Sustainable Development goals (SDGs) and the Global Urban Monitoring Framework (GUMF). It is an international authoritative index released by UN-Habitat to the world.
