On March 7, 2023,”Enterprise Intelligent Transformation in the New Era”, one of the frontier courses of Intelligent Transportation jointly organized by Tongji SEM and SAP, was successfully held online. As the special guest, Mr. XU Lei, Director of Strategic Planning and Operations of SAP China Research Institute, met with international students in the cloud and led them into the era of digital economy based on the industry perspective.The lecture focused on the big data based intelligentization. Mr. XU Lei started from the experience economy and the transformation trend of global business, he pointed out that the future development trend is the perfect experience based on the intelligence of big data. Then he elaborated the cases of big data based intelligence with SAP in multiple aspects, including intelligent transportation, intelligent reporting, intelligent entertainment, intelligent forecasting, and intelligent manufacturing. Mr. XU Lei pointed out that SAP provides an interoperable and modular architecture that any city of maturity and any size can adopt, and its application scenarios include but not limited to city administration, taxi operation analytic app in enterprises, passenger transport operation control center app, citizen-friendly taxi booking mobile app, virtual taxi station mobile app, etc. Finally, Mr. XU Lei gave a comprehensive introduction of SAP China Research Institute’s staff and regions, core competencies, innovative products, innovative leadership highlight activities and external awards received.
