ABSTRACT：

Satellite images of the parking lots of US retail firms provide information about the firms’ future earnings, and the limited access to these images produces information asymmetry between sophisticated and unsophisticated investors. We construct a cloud-based information risk (CIR) measure to capture this satellite information risk and investigate its asset pricing performance. We find that cloud cover over retailers’ parking lots negatively predicts future stock returns of retail firms in cross section and the predictability cannot be explained by weather reasons. Furthermore, retail firms with less cloud cover are more heavily shorted by informed traders than firms with more cloud cover. The pricing ability of this CIR measure is stronger prior to earnings announcements. Liquidity is the primary channel through which CIR affects equity premiums.

近年来，主持国家优秀青年基金、国家自然科学基金青年基金（绩效评估“特优”）、面上项目和霍英东青年教师基金。主要研究方向为金融工程和能源金融，近年来以第一作者（或通讯作者）发表学术论文80多篇，其中包括《Management Science》、《Journal of Comparative Economics》、《Journal of Financial Markets》、《Journal of Empirical Finance》、《Journal of Banking and Finance》、《International Journal of Forecasting》、《Journal of Forecasting》、《Journal of Futures Markets》、《Quantitative Finance》和《Energy Economics》等。发表的学术论文在Web of Science数据库中被引用2000多次，在Google Scholar 中被引用4000多次，2019-2022连续四年入选Elsevier中国高被引学者，入选斯坦福大学发布的全球前2%顶尖科学家。五篇论文入选经济和商学类ESI高被引论文，以第一完成人获得江苏省哲学社会科学优秀成果一等奖、二等奖、三等奖和第八届高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（人文社会科学）三等奖，2019年获批“江苏社科英才”。
