Recently, the list of winners of the 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education was announced by he Ministry of Education. Three teaching achievements of SEM, “Construction and Practice of Internationalised Ecological System of Postgraduate Cultivation under the Concept of ‘Three Integration’ of Sino-German Cooperation”, “From Quality Control to Quality Culture: Innovation and Development of University Talent Cultivation Quality Assurance System” and “Construction and Practice of University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education System Characterised by ‘City-College Symbiosis'” were selected as the Second Prize of National Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education (Postgraduate), the First Prize and the Second Prize of National Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education (Undergraduate) respectively. In addition, five teaching achievements of SEM won the 2022 Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award, including one grand prize, three first prizes and one second prize. The number of awards has reached a new high in the history of SEM. Those achievements reflect the characteristics and effectiveness, innovation and development of talent cultivation and education and teaching reform, as well as the remarkable progress of education connotation construction of our School in recent years.

With the support of the Undergraduate School and Graduate School of Tongji University, SEM attached great importance to the cultivation and declaration of the Teaching Achievement Award, explored the effective experience of talent cultivation, developed the teaching innovation team, invited renowned experts to have discussions with the declaring team, and carried out repetitions and rounds of discussions on the positioning of the selected topics, the refining of the achievements, and the excavation of the characteristics, etc., and selected a batch of excellent Achievements.

National Teaching Achievement Award is the highest level of award set up by the Ministry of Education to reward collectives and individuals who have outstanding teaching achievements, encourage educators to engage in education and teaching research, and improve the level and quality of teaching.
