The future of construction revolves around adapting to the involvement of non-human agents in construction operations. The consensus within the industry acknowledges the complexity of job site activities, giving rise to the belief that humans will not be replaced by digital agents with pre-defined information. However, the pioneers recognize the need to respond to the intervention of these non-human agents. Future construction will involve a combination of human and non-human agents working together, leveraging advancements in technology and digital tools. This presentation focuses on advancements in convergence technologies and addresses data linkage problems for knowledge management by utilizing semantic web technologies. It also includes a demonstration of a virtual entity within a digital twin prototype.
