On the afternoon of September 26th, the second round of the 2023 International Students Welcome Season-Chinese Bridge activity was successfully held in Tongji Building A. The event brought together international students from all over the world to experience the rich and colourful Chinese culture through interactive games, thus enhancing mutual exchanges.

The activity started at 2pm and Ms Ji Maomao from Tongji SEM Student Work Office gave an opening speech. She hoped that the participants could enjoy the beauty of Chinese and build a bridge of friendship, and that through this activity, international students would have the opportunity to explore China and Chinese civilisation.

Entering the warm-up session, the students introduced themselves and their hometowns in various languages. The unique costumes and customs were eye-opening. In the subsequent scene drama rehearsal, the students were divided into four teams, with detailed distribution of labor and tacit cooperation, and smiles filled everyone’s face.

Then came the exciting part-competitions. You draw I guess, cultural knowledge, tongue twisters, and melodrama performance, the enthusiasm of the players was very high, and the scene atmosphere was joyous. Among them, the sitcom of group 4,”Interview”, was extraordinarily impressive. There was a great deal of affection and joy for the end of the game.

Finally, the staff awarded the participants according to the judges’ scores. The students received fancy prizes and took photos. Everyone waved goodbye in a reluctant farewell.

In an innovative and vivid form, this activity allows international students to immerse themselves in Chinese culture, which promotes cultural charm and enhances cultural exchanges. Stick on Tongji SEM, more international activities in the future. We look forward to your participation!
