New Asian Record! QIN Haiyang from Tongji SEM and Teammates won Silver Medal!

In the early morning of August 4, Beijing time, in the final of the men’s and women’s 4x100m medley relay in the swimming events of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Chinese swimmer QIN Haiyang, a master student of Tongji SEM, along with his teammates XU Jiayu, ZHANG Yufei and YANG Junxuan, swam a good record of 3 minutes, 37 seconds and 55 seconds. At the same time, the U.S. team’s result was 3:37:43, both teams broke the original world record, and the Chinese team won the second place by only 0.12 seconds, harvesting a valuable silver medal for the Chinese sports delegation and refreshing the Asian record.
In the final, Qin Haiyang had an excellent race as he swam 57’82 to rank first among all breaststroke swimmers.
