As a Professor of Supply Chain Management, Stephan Wagner holds the Chair of Logistics Management and is Faculty Director of the HumOSCM Lab at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich). He is the Head of Department, leading the Executive Board of the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics (D-MTEC). His career spans senior roles in technology firms and multinational consulting, alongside designing executive programs. Honored with the Academy of Management OSCM Distinguished Scholar Award, ETH’s Golden Owl for teaching excellence, and recognition as one of operations management’s most-cited scholars, he has authored 13 books and 150+ articles in journals like Academy of Management Journal. As Department Editor for Decision Sciences and advisor to organizations such as the German Logistics Association, he drives innovation in supply chain ecosystems, integrating sustainability and entrepreneurial insights to tackle global operational challenges. Ranked among Handelsblatt’s top 10 researchers and FAZ’s top 50 economists, his work consistently shapes industry practices and academic discourse.
