The School of Economics & Management, Tongji University is to hold the first “Accounting and Financial Research Conference” on December 10 to 12, 2010. This conference aims at improving the level of accounting and financial research and expanding the international horizon of young scholars in scientific research. Meanwhile, it is also our hope to strengthen the communication between us and young scholars from other colleges through this conference so as to recruit outstanding talents in the accounting and financial field. To build our school into a first-class research institute, the School of Economics & Management, Tongji University has carried out a series of significant reforms in recruiting, inspiring, and cultivating talents to facilitate the growth of young teachers, and has made great achievements so far.

This conference is divided into two sections: lectures and paper discussions. In the lectures, the professors will illustrate in detail how to conduct first-class financial research based on their own study; in the discussions, firstly paper authors will make a report on their papers and answer questions from participants, then professors will make comments respectively on the papers, participants’ questions and authors’ reply.
 

The deadline for application is 20th November 2010.
The conference is free of charge, but participants have to pay for cost of their own food, travel and accommodation.
