In the first anniversary of Wenchuan earthquake EMBA students of our school donate for the disaster area again

A major earthquake occurred in Wenchuan one year ago. On the 18th of this month, nearly 30 people of Tongji EMBA homecoming under the leadership of Dr. Cheng Guoping who is the director of EMBA Center donated more than 0.26 million yuan to the local kindergartens for post-disaster reconstruction. Toys, candies, books and other items were also sent to the children. The EMBA Center of Tongji University has been actively involved in caring activities since its inception. To date, contributions by EMBA students have built more than 10 Hope primary schools; one student called Chunrong Liao has set up a "Yinrun Scholarship" since 2003 in the school for financing poor students. In 2007, it donated to the Shanghai Charity Foundation 5.25 million yuan, and in October 2008 3.55 million yuan to his alma mater.
