Open Day for Tongji MBA Enrollment Consultation and New Students Welcome Ceremony Held Successfully

On September 11, the open day for Tongji MBA enrollment consultation was held in the lecture hall on the fourth floor, Zonghe Building, Siping Road campus, Tongji University. Many candidates came to attend prestigious professors’ lectures, learn from others’ experience of preparing for the exam, share understandings about career development, experience campus life at Tongji University, and learn the latest enrollment policies about Tongji 2010 MBA program.
At 9:00 am., the open class started with the speech by Prof. Shumin YAN, Director of MBA center, School of Economics and Management (SEM), Tongji University. Prof. Sizong WU, supervisor of Ph.D candidate from Tongji University, made a speech with the topic "New Development of Marketing under Information Times". Then, Mr. Yiming ZHANG, Vice President of HR Department from International Far Eastern Leasing Corporation, talked about the focus and question formulation from the angle of an interviewer. Next, MBA graduate Jianping GU and Yufei CHEN introduced the career development. MBA student Xiaofeng TANG talked about the study life at Tongji University.
At 1:30 pm, Dr. Anurag Gupta, Associate Professor from Case Western Reserve University, US, Dr. Haiyan WANG, Associate Professor from Tongji University and Dr. Yanghui YU, Chief Risk Officer from Orient Futures, made wonderful speeches named respectively "Global Risk Issues and Talent Needs in a Post-Crisis World", "Overview of China’s Risk Management Education/Training", and "Risk Management in the Chinese Futures Market".
At around 3:30 pm, a welcome reception named "Dialogue, Knowledge and Prospect", aiming at 2010 MBA new students, was also held in the lecture hall on the fourth floor, Zonghe Building, Siping Road campus, Tongji University. The attendees include Prof. Jiazheng HUO, Dean of SEM, Dr. Anurag Gupta, Dr. Haiyan WANG, Director of SEM’s International Office, Prof. Shumin YAN, Director of SEM’s MBA center, Yihong LI, Deputy Director of MBA center, Yibin LI, Director of Tongji-Case Western Reserve Program, Xuebin CHEN, Director of MBA Career Development Center, etc.
Then, Prof. Shumin YAN, Director of MBA center, made a speech and announced the start of Tongji MBA community net. Schoolmate Jun WANG and Xiaofeng TANG, chairman of Tongji MBA League, introduced respectively the service of the website and the league.
In the end, Dean HUO, delivered an opening address. He described the advantages and characteristics of Tongji MBA program, and encouraged new students to make achievements with cautious and practical attitude.
