Opening & Commencement Ceremony held by UTA-TJ EMBA

On 18th September, 2010, UTA-TJ EMBA held the grand Commencement Ceremony (2008 Summer Class) and Opening Ceremony (2010 Fall Class) in the 3rd floor lecture hall of Yuntong Building. Prof.Qi DONG, Vice President of Tongji University, and Prof. Donald Bobbitt, Provost of UTA (the University of Texas at Arlington) presented at the ceremony and granted diplomas to the graduates. Prof. Song CHEN, Associate Director of SEM-Tongji, and Prof. Daniel Himarios, Dean of Business School, UTA also attended the ceremony.
Prof, Qi DONG and Prof. Donald Bobbitt delivered speeches respectively and congratulate fifty graduates (2008 Summer Class) on their completion of studies. Prof. Song CHEN and Prof. Daniel Himarios on the other hands extended the warmest welcome to the new students.
The ceremony is hosted by Ms. Yuan Yuan, Academic Director of UTA-TJ EMBA Program. Over one-hundred graduates’ relatives and friends witnessed the ceremony. Mr. Liang TAN, partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP, Mr. Ye LIU, Marketing Director of Unilever, Mr. Beatrice Hsi, General Manager of Huiye Building, Jones Lang Lasalle, gave speeches on behalf of graduates and new students.
After the ceremony, Prof. Jiazhen HUO, Dean of SEM-Tongji, Prof. Song CHEN, Associate Director of SEM-Tongji, Prof. Donald Bobbitt, Provost of UTA, and Prof. Daniel Himarios, Dean of Business School, UTA exchanged their opinions on collaborative issues, regarding program development and enhancement of faculty and students exchange.
