Welcome Ceremony Held for International Students of SEM, Tongji University

At 9:30, Feb 17th 2010, the welcome ceremony for new international students of SEM is held at the Lecturing Hall of the 3rd floor, Yuntong Building. Prof. Jianwei WU, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Collaboration of SEM, Dr. Haiyan WANG, Director of International Office of SEM present at the ceremony and deliver welcome speeches. Team of International Office of SEM poses for group picture together with around 80 new international students from around the world after the ceremony.
Deputy Dean WU extends, on behalf of SEM, his warm welcome to the international students. Director WANG then introduces the history of Tongji University and briefs on the international collaboration of SEM. After the welcome ceremony, the international office arranges for International Students a campus tour and city tour to experience in person the Chinese Culture.
Currently there are 126 International Students registered in SEM, which includes 28 dual-degree undergraduate students, 19 dual-degree postgraduate students, 50 non-degree exchange undergraduate students, and 29 non-degree exchange postgraduate students.
The international students of SEM mostly come from Business Schools of Europe and North America, which enjoy high reputation and have established long-term partnership with SEM. Most of them have acquired the accreditation of AMBA, EQUIS or AACSB, the so-called Three-Crown authoritative accreditations for business schools.
