SEM Student Selected into Asia Institute for Political Economy (AIPE 2012)

FENG Zhengbing, Senior students from Department of Finance and Economics, SEM, was selected into Asia Institute for Political Economy (AIPE 2012) summer academic programme at HKU which is organized by Hong Kong University and Georgetown University, US. The student is one of the 15th participants from mainland China of this programme and won full scholarship sponsored by the Fund for American Studies.
 
The School of Economics and Finance, HKU, in conjunction with The Fund for American Studies and Georgetown University in Washington D.C., is offering a summer academic programme at the University of Hong Kong beginning this year, July 28 – August 16, 2002. The inaugural Asia Institute for Political Economy aims to attract 30 of Asia’s most outstanding university students, together with a few American students, to study the principles of free market economics and political concepts such as the rule of law, separation of powers, and the role of an independent press. Academic credit is available from Georgetown University upon successful completion of the Institute. Students will be chosen based on their English proficiency, university transcripts, essays, demonstrated leadership ability, academic awards, and interest in exploring the ideals of a free-market economy and rule of law.
