Spring is a good season for outings. On March 12th, 2013, SEM has organized an excursion around Shanghai for the 2012 students of International MBA Program to help them know more about the culture in Shanghai.
During the morning, students visited to a traditional Shanghai lane named Tianzifang. Tianzifang is the landmark of fashion and creative industry clusters of Shanghai. which has been reconstructed from typical Shanghai Shikumen architecture. Students enjoyed the featured stores and workshops and experienced the charm of old Shanghai. In the afternoon, they had a great time at the People’s Square by traveling around the longest underground shopping mall in Shanghai and appreciating an exhibition of pictures about Shanghai in 1930s. The journey ended by students’ enjoying the unique performances of buskers at the busiest and most lively road, Nanjing Road.
Through this sightseeing, the students not only came to know more about Chinese culture, but also strengthened the bonds with their Chinese classmates.
