On Apr.16, 2013, the delegation of University of Luxembourg visited the School of Economics and Management (hereinafter referred to as “SEM”), Tongji University.

The delegation members include Prof. Christian Wolff, Director, Luxembourg School of Finance, Julian Presber, Managing Director, Luxembourg School of Finance. Prof. RUAN Qingsong, Deputy Dean of SEM, Associate Prof. WANG Haiyan, Director of International Cooperation Office of SEM, Prof. CHEN Weizhong, Department Chair of Economics and Finance, Associate Prof. LI Yong, Deputy Department Chair of Economics and Finance, on behalf of SEM, extended warm welcome to the guests and briefed on our school in the fields of high-level education and international collaboration.

The two parties mainly discussed the collaboration possibilities in the Finance Discipline. The next day (Apr.17), the delegation visited the Orient Securities Futures Company, and had a general understanding on the development of Chinese Futures Industry.

Founded in 2003, University of Luxembourg is a multilingual, international and research oriented university. The location of the university is close to the European institutions, as well as to Luxembourg’ s financial center. The International Finance is the strength research area of their university.
