SEM Successfully Hosted 2015 Global Energy China Workshop for Warwick Business School

From July 4th to 11th, 2015, 31 Executive MBA students from Warwick Business School (UK) participated 7-day “WBS Global Energy China” workshop in Tongji-SEM.
These EMBA students with several years of working experience are from various industries, mainly in energy, architecture, IT and finance industries. They have participated in a series of activities within 7 days about China’s green economy, Chinese culture and How to do business in China. The courses are divided into three parts: lectures, company visits as well as panel discussion.
The topics of lectures involved Understanding Business in Society, Introduction to Chinese Economy, and Transformation into Sustainable Development. These foreign students discussed and communicated actively with professors who putting forward their particular insights and integrated theories with practice. To better combine the courses, students visited Shanghai Tower, Siemens Shanghai Office, and Shanghai Waigaoqiao No.3 Power Generation Co. The company visits helped students to feel the green economy execution in Chinese companies. Through the interaction with companies’ executives, students can have better understanding about Chinese companies’ effort on sustainable development.
