On the 12th of March, 2016 TONGJI & MANNHEIM EMBA Program was officially launched in SEM, Tongji University. The Executive part-time English-taught MBA Program has been jointly created by Mannheim Business School (MBS) and Tongji University in Shanghai.

Dr. Bettina Kosiel, Director of EMBA Program of MANNHEIM Business School delivered welcome speech and addressed greetings to 2016 new cohort students. She said that Mannheim Business School has long been leading in the field of management education and continuously ranked among top by Financial Times, UK. It is regarded as placing a strong emphasis on research. Dr. Kosiel extended her gratitude to the good cooperation between Tongji and Mannheim on their EMBA joint degree program in the latest five years. She encouraged the students to work hard and make great achievements on their career after EMBA study.

Prof HAN Zheng, one of the Tongji-Mannheim EMBA program faculties, made a speech. He said that with its highly flexible structure and unique content, this EMBA program will give executives from around the world the skills and tools they need for positions in international top management, which will be a great benefit for the students’ future career development.

The student representative of 1^st cohort class introduced her experience of career development all started from Tongji-Mannheim EMBA study. Mr. Georg Gerhard Roth, Design manager of Voith in China, is now working and studying Tongji-Mannheim EMBA program in Shanghai China. Although he is away from the family, he is entirely sure about high quality of this program which is targeted at top executives active in both China and German markets.

Ms. WANG Xiaohui, famous artist in art and literature, with 30-year study and career background in Shanghai and Munich, give a speech on cross-culture experience. Her topic is mainly focused on “Communication from the East to the West” and shared how to accommodate herself more quickly into the local life. She encouraged the foreign students to know more about China through Tongjji-Mannheim EMBA program.
