On the morning of July 14^th, Xin XIN, the top Chinese open water swimmer, won the women’s 10KM open water competition at the 2019 FINA World Championship, Gwangju, South Korea. She swam in the record of 1:54:47.20, taking 0.9 seconds ahead of the American competitor.

This is not only the first time for the Chinese swimmer to win the Gold Medal of Open Water Event, but also a breakthrough of the Asian swimmers.

Xin XIN is a star-on-the-riseathlete of Chinese National Swimming Team, and also an undergraduate student majoring in Public Administration in Tongji SEM.
