Recently, Tongji SEM invited Mr. GUO Shi, Deputy General Manager of Bond Finance Headquarters of Haitong Securities Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Haitong Securities), and Mr. LIU Yun, Director of Asset Management Structured Finance Department of Haitong Securities, to give lectures to our undergraduate students. The “SSE University Practical Course System” jointly launched by Tongji SEM, Shanghai Stock Exchange and Haitong Securities offers a series of lectures and is also a part of the “Shanghai Stock Exchange’s Promotion to the integration of Investor Education into the National Education System Project”.

Mr. GUO introduced the development process of China’s bond market, from the over-the-counter market, the exchange market, the interbank market, to the current credit bond market. He described the regulatory framework of the bond market and the relevant contents of corporate bonds, including the reform and development of corporate bond market, key varieties of corporate bonds and the prospect of corporate bond market. Mr. LIU, on the other hand, gave a detailed explanation on the historical development, new characteristics, future reform pattern of the domestic and foreign asset management industry, and incorporated practical cases, methods and research achievement into the lecture.

The “SSE University Practical Course System” aims to implement the requirements of “Memorandum of Cooperation on Strengthening the Popularization of Securities and Futures Knowledge” (jointly issued by the Securities Regulatory Commission and the Ministry of Education), and to integrate investor education into the national education system. On September 9^th 2020, Tongji SEM signed a memorandum of cooperation with Shanghai Stock Exchange and Haitong Securities to jointly launch the practical course system.
