On the morning of October 22, Prof. Dr. Christoph Kaserer, Dean of the School of Management, Technical University of Munich (TUM), visited our school. Prof. XIE En, Dean of SEM, warmly received the guest on behalf of the school.

Before the meeting, Prof. Kaserer, accompanied by Mr. YIN Wen, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Tongji University, Ms. Grace SHOU, Assistant Dean of SEM, and Dr. Scott THIEBES, Assistant Professor of SEM, visited the Tongji University History Museum, where they jointly reviewed Tongji’s long history of education and its long-standing ties of cooperation with Germany.

During the meeting, the deans of both schools had in-depth exchanges on deepening talent cultivation cooperation between the two institutions, with a focus on the following two aspects: first, they explored cooperation on a joint double-degree program for the Master of Finance in Information Management, and had preliminary discussions on program positioning and curriculum articulation, second, they discussed the establishment of a Ph.D. exchange program, and exchanged views on cooperation mechanisms such as doctoral student exchange visits and joint training.

Both sides agreed that the two universities have complementary strengths in business education and research, and expressed the hope to take this visit as an opportunity to further refine the cooperation plan and bring the relevant cooperation initiatives to fruition at an early date.
