On Feb. 20, 2012, a delegation from ESSEC Business School, France, led by Ms Francoise REY, Vice President and Dean of Graduate Programs in ESSEC Business School, visited our school. Prof. WANG Haiyan, Director of the International Cooperation Office, School of Economics and Management, Tongji University (herein after referred to as SEM, Tongji), warmly welcomed the visiting guests. The two parties introduced in details their academic programs, and then made further discussion on deepening the mutual students exchange, faculty exchange, scientific research cooperation. Ms. Delphine LEFEBVRE, International Relations Manager(MSc /MBA), ESSEC Business School, and Mr. Maxime CHATELLIER, representative in Mainland China, Hongkong & Macau, Taiwan, also joined the meeting.

 

In retrospect of the past collaboration of the two parties, ever since the signing of the double degree bachelor program agreement in Business Administration in 2004, SEM has sent 41 bachelor students, in Sino-French class, majoring in Business Administration, to ESSEC Business School, among whom 21 students have been awarded with the bachelor’s degrees respectively from Tongji and ESSEC. Meanwhile, ESSEC Business School has also sent 38 undergraduate students to SEM, among whom 23 students have been awarded with the Management bachelor’s degrees by Tongji University. In 2011, the two parties signed the students exchange agreement on master’s level.

 

ESSEC Business School, founded in 1907, is located in Paris, France. The school has got two authoritative accreditations of business schools as EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) and AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). It was ranked the 10th in the Financial Times (FT) ranking of the European Business Schools in 2011.
