Tue, Nov 20, 2012
In the early November 2012, Executive Development Program for Singapore engineers was held in SEM Tongji, which was jointly organized by SEM, BCA (Singapore Building and Construction Authority) and NUS (the National University of Singapore). 20 EMBA students from Singapore engineering companies spent four days in SEM. Most of them have been working in China for many years. The program offered them an impression of Chinese construction market and construction management.
The program was composed by several lectures delivered by SEM faculty on Complex engineering project management and cost control of the whole construction project. Some company visits to Shanghai Center, BAOLI Theater, and Hongmei South Road Tunnel introduced the current big construction projects in China.
This EDP training program launched the development of EDP center to focus its strategy on internationalization and academics. EDP center plans to send executives of Chinese engineering industries to visit Singapore next year.
