SEM research team of Prof. SHI Jianxun, Director of Institution of Economics and Finance of Tongji University, was appointed by National Society and Science Fund to be the Decision-making Consulting Office. And Prof. SHI Jianxun was invited to be Chief Expert of the office.

The function of Decision-making Consulting Office is to do researches on the latest development and situation and to make consultation for the government. Depending on the discipline strength of Tongji University, Institution of Economics and Finance made lots of research on International and China economy, financial reform and development. Its report was highly valued by the decision making departments of the government.
