Xuwen XIAO Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Makes an Academic Report for Students from Tongji SEM

On Nov. 11th, 2014, Xuwen XIAO Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, at the invitation of Teaching Management Center of masters of Engineering, Tongji SEM, made an academic report “Advancing Green Construction of Architectural Engineering” for more than 100 masters from Engineering or Engineering Management Programs. Professor Shiqian REN Director of the Center presided the report.
Academician Xuwen XIAO is a famous technical Expert in Architecture Engineering in China. He makes extraordinary contributions to Advancing Chinese Construction Technique and develop Green Construction. In his report, Academician XIAO points out that there are severe wastes on natural resource and energy and heavy environment pollution existing in China’s industrial production, precipitation engineering in urban construction has dramatically influence city’s hydrological environment, which causes severe economic losses annually. The report covers areas such as green construction concept, current status of green construction advancement and the urgency of green construction.
